Dr. Fatma Alhashimi is Director of Hortman Stem Cell laboratory which is the First GMP stem cell & molecular laboratory in UAE. It consists of ISO Clean Rooms for Stem Cell isolation, culture, and banking. Making us a unique facility in UAE incepted by the amalgamation of latest technologies and advanced applications in field of stem cell, regenerative and molecular medicine.

Dr. Alhashimi has also initiated Dubai Stem Cell Congress (DSCC) which aims to create a widespread awareness on the regional community about the latest advancement in stem cell research & technologies by bringing international experts in the fields of stem cell & regenerative medicine across the world and provide the opportunity for patients to share their successful stories of stem cell therapy.

She is an accomplished and well-qualified Project Manager & Stem Cell Consultant with a PhD in Project Management and Cord Blood donor recruitment, a master’s degree in molecular genetics and BSc in Medical genetic UK. Impressive track record of success managing complex healthcare projects from concept to successful execution as well as the ongoing management of operations, staffing, and budgets.

Dr. Alhashimi also established the first cord blood donor recruitment unit in Dubai Cord Blood & Research centre-DHA and operated as certified First Emirati to lead cord blood collection training for healthcare providers in government & private hospitals. She created the first value co-creation model for recruiting cord blood donors in DHA Hospitals to increase the number of cord blood donations in UAE – a model now used in public healthcare hospitals and clinics. She is also Certified trainer in area related to Project Management, Change Management and Culture Transformation.
